Privacy and Data Protection Notice
This Privacy and Data Protection Notice (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice"), based on Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter referred to as the "General Data Protection Regulation"), explains the reasons and legal bases for the processing of personal data that the Circle of Love Humanitarian Association, based in Zagreb, Kozarčeve Tene 47, OIB: 04038472535, (hereinafter referred to as the "Association"), collects and processes for the purpose of carrying out humanitarian activities for which the Association is registered. The processing of personal data by the Association is based on principles that include, but are not limited to: Processing of personal data that is necessary to protect the vital interests of the children being examined, such as if processing is required for humanitarian purposes or for the achievement of the Association's goals, namely the collection of material resources and the provision of assistance to the most vulnerable children and their families or guardians (Article 6 (1) (d) and (46) of the Preamble to the General Data Protection Regulation); Processing of personal data of donors and sponsors of our Association or volunteers and third parties who actively participate in the humanitarian activities of the Association, necessary for the needs of the legitimate interests of the Association as the controller, in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation and the Law on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation, NN 42/2018. (Article 6 (1) (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation). The Association reserves the right to occasionally adapt and improve the text of this Notice, primarily in order to comply with legal changes, or changes in the purposes and methods of processing children's personal data and the personal data of our donors and sponsors or Association volunteers. In the event of changes to the rules that may affect your rights, we will inform you in advance, through our website or by other means of communication. The Association processes personal data in accordance with the principles of legality, fairness, transparency, purpose limitation, data minimization, accuracy, storage limitation, integrity and confidentiality, as well as accountability. The Association only processes personal data that is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with the rights of the data subjects. The Association takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data from accidental or unlawful destruction, alteration, unauthorized access, unauthorized use or unauthorized disclosure. The Association will provide you with all the information you request in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation, and will respect your rights as data subjects, including the right to access.
